Khad Hisab App

Fertilizer prices are skyrocketing, placing them beyond the reach of poor farmers. Agricultural success depends on balanced fertilizer use. Farmers only use nitrogen and phosphate in a 4-to-1 ratio, causing diminishing yields and disease spread. Narrow NPK ratios improve plant immunity. Phosphate fertilizer use declined last year. Therefore, it is vital to find a way to calculate NPK using sources within our farmers' budgets for balanced use. Noticing the dilemma, the honorable secretary agriculture ordered the SFRI to submit a remedy in the form of an application suitable to soil scientists, extension workers, fertilizer dealers, and ordinary farmers. This institute has developed a fast app in a short time. The agricultural secretary praised the SFRI team's work on this application. This application will be used in 36 soil and water testing labs in Punjab to formulate site-specific recommendations based on soil analysis beginning today. Instructions have been given to each lab's head. The previous practice of recommending fertilizer on the basis of low, medium, and high soil fertility is now prohibited.
