World Soil Day is celebrated on 5th December all over the world. Similarly, this day was also celebrated in Soil Fertility Research Institute, Lahore. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar, Chief Scientist Agri. (Research), Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain, Director General Agri. (Ext & AR), Dr Muhammad Akram Qazi, Chief Scientist, Soil Fertility, Punjab along with many other representatives from public sector, educational universities, Agricultural Industry and Agri officers from Lahore Division graced the event with their presence. Prof. Dr. Derk Machiel Bakker, Chairperson, Dept of ES, FC College, Dr Muhammad Rashid PU, Dr Muhammad Nadeem Iqbal, Dr Ijaz Mehboob, Mr Salik Ali Khan and Dr Muhammad Akram Qazi delivered lectures in the seminar. District Officers from all soil and water testing laboratories joined the seminar through online link. Cake cutting ceremony was also held. In the end peaceful walk was conducted by all the participants.
